On April 27, the Shandong Automobile Industry Association took part in the Joint Meeting of the Shandong Defense Machinery and Electronics Trade Union. The meeting relayed the 2026 Key Points for Reforming the Building of the Industrial Workforce and 24 specific arrangements in the province’s Implementation Opinions; reported on the union’s key work in 2025 and plans for 2026; summarized joint results in 2025 on labor and skills competitions, innovation platforms for workers and early-stage participation; and exchanged views on joint work for 2026. The Association described its work since co-founding the Shandong Automobile Industry Model Worker and Craftsman Alliance with the union at Weichai in November 2025, and discussed the feasibility of next-step projects. Participants gave opinions and suggestions on union work and jointly discussed an action plan for model workers and craftsmen to help enterprises in the Shandong defense machinery and electronics sector, together with a cooperation agreement.
During the meeting, the Shandong Provincial Defense Machinery and Electronics Workers' Union and the Shandong Province Automobile Industry Association,Shandong Electronics Society, along with the Shandong Artificial Intelligence Association, the Shandong Equipment Management Association, and many other leading provincial associations, chambers of commerce, and academic societies, jointly signed the Cooperation Agreement between the Shandong Provincial Defense Machinery and Electronics Workers' Union and Industry Associations (Academic Societies).
